Part 3

After triple play we went to Micduff's for dinner. It was really fun. We played play-doh at the table while we waited for our food ( a trick we used all weekend at restaurants that worked like a charm!). The food was really yummy!

We ordered the root beer that the restaurant makes themselves, and it was very yummy. You three drank it like crazy! Daddy and Uncle Rick tried some of the beer, which they also agreed was yummy and they also  drank it up!

Aunt Chelsea has a bath big enough to be a swimming pool and you three loved it! You practically swam the whole time! Aunt Chelsea has the coolest master bedroom/bath combo. I love it!!!

Uncle Rick had a cool hunting game on his Wii that everyone had fun with. The boys liked to carry around the Wii guns and pretend to shoot things. They kept asking Uncle Rick if they could shoot the bear! Hunter actually did shoot the bear!

If we didn't have the volume up loud enough the boys would ask Uncle Rick to turn it louder. They loved hearing the sound of the gunshots, and would even pretend to make the sound of the gun shots themselves!

Saturday night when all the kids were in bed Daddy went to the store for Oreos. Aunt Chelsea had to drive him because of all that yummy beer that they had at the restaurant. They came back with lots of oreos, and three huge stuffed animals for Kaylee. Daddy thought it was really cute how she wanted one of the giant stuffed animals at Triple Play, and it just so happened that Sandpoint's Walmart had all their Valentine's toys on clearance for 75% off. So it just made sense to buy her three big stuffed animals! Go ahead and say it... spoiled! =0)

Sandpoint part 2

One of the best parts about Triple Play was watching Connor climb the rock wall. He loved every second of it. We got him in his harness and he looked so cute! When the lady who was watching over the rock climbing area let go of him the rope pulled Connor up in the air and flipped him upside down. He was just swinging, and dangling like crazy. I caught him and put him back on two feet as quick as I could, but it did shake him up a bit. He still wanted to climb the wall though, just like the rock climbers at the Court Club!

Hunter watched safely from the ground, and then when we asked if he wanted a turn he said, "no thanks!"

The kids then discovered the dinosaur claw! They tried a few times to lower the dinosaur head (it bit the toys to pick them up) into the pit and win a bunch of rubber, toy dinosaurs. They couldn't win so Uncle Rick saved the day. He won 7 dinosaurs in two turns! Connor really wanted the orange, spiky dinosaur and try as he might Uncle Rick couldn't get that one. Daddy had the brilliant idea to trade in one of our dinosaurs at the front desk for an orange one and that made Connor's whole day, well besides the rock climbing!

Kaylee kept asking, "wat's dat?!" She especially wanted to know what the giant stuffed animals were. She really wanted to get her hands on one of those because she asked us about ten times, "wat's dat?!"

Hunter's favorite game was the one where he got to punch the ducks! He loved knocking them over and even used some of his tickets to get one of those rubber ducky's.

We also got to bowl at Triple Play. It was really fun and the black lights were especially cool! The boys could hardly throw the three pound balls all the way down to get to the pins, so we had to keep throwing balls down to knock their ball towards the pins. Although both boys were able to knock down pins on their own at least once, and it was very exciting!

Sandpoint- Part 1

Dear Bubbas,
We had such a great trip this weekend. We went up to Sandpoint, Idaho to visit aunt Chelsea and Uncle Rick. We stayed in their new house and did a ton of fun things. You guys were all very well behaved. The boys even continued to try their hardest at using the potty while we were there. Daddy and I got a bit stressed out and took it out on each other because taking three kids under three on such a long road trip is a bit stressful no matter how you swing it, but we were always able to remember why we were getting edgy and pull it together and the weekend couldn't have been better!

It started with Daddy driving you three up to Spokane to pick Mommy up from school. I had to go to a class so I drove up a few hours earlier than you with a friend. Daddy said you slept most of the way. You picked me up at Chili's. After a quick dinner we got on the road to head to Aunt Chelsea's.

When we got to Aunt Chelsea's we realized she had a kitty. Hunter saw the kitty dash across Chelsea's bedroom floor and into the bathroom. Chelsea's room was dark, so in his defense it probably would have taken anyone off guard, but Hunter lost it. He just started screaming like a crazy child. We had to pick him up and after lots of talking and coaxing we finally got all of you to at least look at the cat. The boys didn't get any closer than they had to.

Kaylee wasn't scared of the kitty or the three large dogs! She loved all the animals and wanted to give them hugs all the time!

You all were very tired that first night, so we ended up going to bed early. Daddy and I went to bed with you so you wouldn't be scared in a new big house. You thought it was pretty neat that we were sleeping at Aunt Chelsea's!

Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Rick built their house this last year. They did a lot of the work on it themselves. One of the unique parts of their house is that the floor is heated concrete! I loved it, although I did not love the crazy stairs with the heated concrete on the bottom. I was so worried you kids were going to roll all the way down the stairs and hit their head on the concrete. You never did. In fact, you were very good at going up and down stairs carefully.

On our first day we went to build snowmen! It was pretty fun.The boys were very excited to put on their  new buzz hats and gloves, and Kaylee was just excited to be somewhere new.

There was tons of snow outside and the boys just had to climb up it all! They also liked throwing it, kicking it, and stomping it. Kaylee wasn't as excited about the snow, but she always has a smile to share.

The boys spent a lot of time putting together their snowman...

 

But enjoyed kicking it over the most!

 

After snowmen we decided to go to the Pie Hut for lunch. It was the best food ever! The waitress walked by with a tray full of waters and tripped. She ended up spilling the water all over Hunter. At first he just sat there, the water didn't bother him much. Then he realized that all eyes were on him and he just melted down. He had to go to the van with Daddy and get a new sweatshirt and some hugs and kisses before he could come back in calm. When he did come back in we just tried to pretend it didn't happen and he ended up having a great time. The waitress apologized and didn't charge us for Hunter's lunch, which made Mommy happy because she was pretty upset about the whole scenario. 

On day two we went to Triple Play! It was lots of fun- and lots of stress, but mostly fun...
