Bones

Notice the bear and the bone. We're getting so many comfort objects that you're running out of hands! This is when we were leaving the dentist. "CHEESE!"

Dear Connor,
You are obsessed with bones. Specifically Spike's Bone. It has become your new comfort object. You take that bone with you everywhere. You even took it into the bath last night. Every now and then Hunter gets his hands on it and you panic. We have to let him play with it too, so Grammy went on Amazon and bought a spare Spike bone so that you could each have your own. It should be here any day. It can't get here soon enough. You won't go to bed without your bone, you won't get in the car without your bone, you won't even eat dinner without your bone. When we go to Grammy's house you get the bones out of the dog bag. Those bones smell like dog treats so as soon as you fall asleep I steal it and give it to Missy.
When you were about six months old I wanted you to carry a little green bear around with you. Hunter had a matching blue one. I thought it would be the perfect comfort object instead of the random toys that you were trying to haul around with us. You never would take the bear. NOW you take the bear everywhere we go along with Spike's bone. You even chose the green one. It's so stinkin' cute to see you carrying your bear around. The bone confuses people, the bear is cute! =0)
You are the sweetest child. You always give Mommy and Kaylee random kisses. You'll just walk over and kiss me or when we're snuggling in bed you'll sit up really quick to kiss my cheek. I love it.
You love your Daddy a lot right now. Every Monday morning when Daddy goes back to work I hear, "Daddy at? Daddy at?" all day long. The minute he comes home you want him to play with you. The other night you didn't get to play with Daddy much and so you woke up at 5am to play with him while he was getting ready for work! Mommy was not thrilled, but what can I do?
Your starting to learn more words than I can count and do a pretty good job of using sentences. We have you repeat after us a lot to help you out, but you've made so much progress lately!
You still love Buzz. If I put on your Buzz pajama's you won't take them off until bath time. That has made going to the store very interesting lately!
We went to the dentist the other day. You are cavity free! You cried the whole time, but as we were leaving I asked you to take a picture. With tears still drying on your face you turned to the camera and said, "CHEESE!"
I love you so much! Thank you for the random kisses and for being so sweet.

I just keep finding funny pictures tonight!

It takes a long time to figure out that not everything goes in your mouth!

Random Pictures I wanted to Share!

 Kaylee talking to her "friends"

I haven't been down a slide in a LONG time.

Connor showing off his new "BUZZ" pajamas, Hunter stripping in the background to put on his new pajamas. They never made it on... he was too excited that he was naked.

Connor and Hunter helping Mommy make "dirt". You'll notice Spike's bone on the counter. That's Connor's new comfort object (read tomorrow's letter!) and one of Kaylee's headbands around Connor's neck.

I know...Mean Mommy. She's so stinkin' cute when she cries though. Besides.... she was overreacting- it had only been an hour since her last meal!

I run so fast!

 Watching Buzz Lightyear!

 "I RUN SO FAST!"

You love your Uncle!

Dear Hunter,
The words that come out of your mouth crack me up! You've been talking so much. Daddy has taught you how to say I don't like that and you say it all the time. Except you say, " I no like, I no like!"
Whenever you get hurt I always ask you if you're ok. Lately whenever you run into something or fall down you say, "K?" and you repeat it until I ask you if you're ok. I was so annoyed the other day during your nap time because I was trying to snuggle you to sleep and you were trying to stall. You kept kicking the wall and then saying, "K?"
You love Uncle Wade. The way you say his name is so cute. Uncle Wade always says," Bye Dude." You always say it back to him and that's adorable too!
You barely eat enough to keep a bird alive. You like hot dogs lately and you love to eat "bars" which are cereal bars. You also love cheese. We go through cheese sticks and bars like crazy around here!
Today we went to the dentist. You were very brave. You only cried when the dentist was actually looking at your teeth. You were very excited to pick a toy and you insisted that you carry your toy and your bag of dental care supplies yourself to the car.
I took you to the park yesterday. Uncle Wade came with us. We were watching you run in circles and every time you ran by me you would yell, " I RUN SO FAST!" I laughed so hard. I guess you get that from me because whenever you run around the house I tell you how fast you run. You bring me so much joy and happiness. I love you sweet boy.

You're so pretty!

Dear Kaylee,
You're growing so fast! You are already in your six month clothes. Your rolls are beginning to have rolls! You are so stinkin' cute it isn't funny. You smile constantly now. You even try to stall bedtime by smiling and giggling at me. We'll be talking to each other and then you'll just pass out asleep. You still think you're starving all the time. Sometimes we tell you it's not time to eat and you have to wait, but you always win! You love your baths and love it even more when I rub lotion into your feet. You tolerate tummy time. Finally you've started swinging your arms intentionally at your toys! Daddy always tells you how pretty you are and you love it. You smile every time he says it! Daddy insisted we put you in the johnny jumper tonight even though Mommy said you were too little. You loved it. Daddy was right. You smile when the boys give you kisses now and you try your hardest to watch them run around the house. Sometimes you can't move your head fast enough though. You've been sleeping solid through the night this week. We've been giving you an 8 ounce bottle at 7:30 and you sleep until about 6 in the morning. I snuggle you as late into the evening as I can (you're laying on me right now), but I have to admit it feels good for Mommy to be able to lay in her bed for six hours at a time! I love you so much! You're so pretty!
Mommy

Look how high you can hold that head!

I still love that little butt!

Grammy woke you up, you were not happy!

Grandpa Steve loves you so much!

Obsessed with Food

Dear Hunter,
You've always been my one and only child that is not totally obsessed with food. Connor was born with a strong urgency to eat...constantly. Kaylee seemed to follow in Connor's footsteps, but you... you were different. When you were first born I had to wake you up every four hours and feed you. Sometimes you would wake up on your own, but you would never cry. You would just lay there awake until I came with the bottle. You've always eaten well, you just never seem to obsessed with it. Until yesterday.

We have pretty much the same routine every morning. We wake up. You both get a sippy cup of juice and a bowl of dry cereal. We put in a movie and Mommy takes care of Kaylee. Then when all has settled down I make you a real breakfast. Yesterday I made blueberry muffins. You also really like cereal bars so I split one between you and Connor. I told you it was time for breakfast and to come to the table to eat. You did. As you climbed into your chair and saw your muffin and cereal bar your eyes got big. Then you said it. The phrase that is etched into my mind and constantly making me giggle and roll my eyes at the same time.

Hunter: " OH Connor! Food!"

You said it so dramatically too! You said it like you've never had a meal in your life. It really makes me worried about taking you into public. If the wrong person heard one of your dramatic sayings... Although they would just need to take one look at you to know that you are loved and well fed!
I love you. I love you. I love you.
Mommy

Enjoying a bottle. You always tried to hold it on your own from a really young age.

You weren't sure if you like solid food!

I don't even know what you're eating right here...

Olive Garden... yummy!

All Done!

Jesus Loves Me

Dear Hunter,
You've been adorable lately. You like to sing. You like to sing very loud! You're favorite song is Jesus Loves Me. You know almost all the words already. You've also been very snuggly lately. You can say your "S" now so it's not longer "nuggle", but "snuggle". You really like to play with Play-Doh. You've been using all the cutting toys to cut the Play-Doh up into millions of little pieces for me to find all over the kitchen! You love Uncle Wade lately. Yesterday you asked me all day, "Uncle Wade here?" We finally called him and you quit asking me after you got to talk to him on the phone. You talk all day long. Some of it I understand, some of it I don't. I love it when you call for Connor.
Hunter: "Connow, come hewe! Connow!"
Connor: "Yeah"
Hunter: "Come hewe!"
You love your brother lots. You love your sister too. You try to play with her all day, but you are so rough I have to watch you close. You really want to show me that she has eyes which has led to some very close calls.
I love you buddy!
Mommy
You crack yourself up all the time. I love how you think you are so funny!

Be Nice Monkey!

Dear Connor,
You are the cutest kid alive! Lately you pretend to be asleep and when we try to wake you up you try your hardest not to smile. It's adorable!
Yesterday we were playing with the play-doh. You played with it for almost an hour. We have this play-doh monkey that will squeeze the play-doh between two coconuts to form a banana. You were trying to make a banana when you pinched your finger between the coconuts. You cried your little heart out and I had to make you feel better. About twenty minutes later I heard you whispering. I leaned in to hear what you were saying.
Connor- "No, No Monkey. Be NICE!"
So that pretty much seals the deal. You'll have a fear of monkeys forever!
You whisper a lot lately. It's really cute. You say a new word every day. I'm so proud of you.
You're also becoming attached to Mommy. You don't want me to leave your sight. It makes me feel good. It drives Daddy insane!
I love you!
Mommy
Mommy finally got smart and had you play with the play-doh on the kitchen floor!

"No, No Monkey! Be NICE!"

You are so cute!

So Sad

Hi Sweet Girl,
You've been cracking Mommy up lately. You smile and giggle. You swing your arms at your toys. You love to swing and to watch your mobile. You're just one happy baby. You love your brothers and watch their every move; half out of curiousity, half out of fear!
You are a very happy baby...except when you want a bottle. There are days when you take an exceptionally long nap and you wake up literally panicked that you haven't eaten. You cry and cry until the second the bottle hits your lips and then you are back to being happy! Everyone thinks I'm mean because I take pictures of you when you cry, but no matter what you do it's the cutest thing in the world and I don't want to forget a minute of it. I love the sound of your cry. It's more of a squeak.
You're getting so big too! I don't know how much you weigh, but you look huge to me. You're begining to get rolls on your rolls! I love it! And I love you!
Mommy
This was when you decided you wanted the bottle... It was warming as I was taking the pictures

Taking a rest of crying and just looking sad...It's been about 30 seconds since you decided you wanted a bottle.

Back to crying... total time elapsed... 45 seconds. It takes about three minutes for a bottle to finish warming...Sometimes you're not sure if you'll make it!

Your brothers sad because they want a bottle. They were 2 months old in this picture. You're almost three months old! I can't believe it.

Pictures of the boys in headbands!

You'll notice that Connor doesn't exactly know what to do with a headband. Although he would like to wear it somehow!

Hunter knows just what to do with a headband! He'll go ahead and wear all of them at once!

Sweet Smiles

Hi Kaylee,
You have the cutest smile. You use it all the time now! Today for the first time when I walked to your crib to pick you up from your nap I said, "Hi!" You smiled so big at me. It was nice that you got excited to see me! Your brothers are trying their hardest to take care of you. Whenever you cry one of them runs as fast as they can to grab a binky or a bottle. Whenever I'm feeding you they fight over who gets to help me hold the bottle for you. You're still not grabbing or reaching for your toys yet, but you're thinking about it. Every now and then you swing an arm up at one of them. Your favorite toy right now is the flower guy that hangs above your head on the floor gym. You even talk to it. You looked so cute on Easter! It is very fun to have a little girl to dress up! The boys are a little jealous of all your accessories. They've been putting on your headbands lately. They look ridiculous but they love it.
I love you! Stop growing so fast. You're already in a size three diaper! You want to eat so often and you try to prove it to us all the time. You even gave yourself a hicky on your arm from sucking on it so hard! Dr. Steele assured me that 30 oz. a day was enough and that you wouldn't starve...but I'm not sure. I should let him hang out with you for a day!
I love you and love you,
Mommy

Look at those big BLUE eyes!

Notice that Connor is even wearing your shoes. Hunter thinks he is so funny!

sweet sharing boys

Dear Connor and Hunter,

We had a great Easter weekend. You two looked so cute in your vest suits. You had fun dressing up too.

I was trying to get a good picture of the three of you... this is as good as it got.

It started with a cookie decorating day at Grammy's. You two made a huge mess. You sure love to use sprinkles. I was just glad that Grammy made the cookies because they tasted really yummy!

Sunday morning Kaylee and I were in the recliner sleeping when I heard a gasp. I opened my eyes and saw Connor standing in front of his Easter baskets. He was holding an egg and a chocolate bunny. He looked at me with these big 'ol eyes and said, "cany?"
Mommy- " Yes, it's candy. Go tell Daddy the Easter Bunny came."
Connor- running down the hallway with egg and chocolate bunny in hand, "DADDY! DADDY! CANY!"

You got three easter baskets. The easter bunny brought you one, Grandpa Dan and Grandma Shannon brought you one, and Grammy and Papa Steve brought you one. The Easter bunny brought you new bibles and books, some buzz underwear, and bubbles. Grandpa  and Grandma Shannon brought you eggs filled with quarters, jelly beans, and chocolate, very elaborate hand decorated easter eggs, and stuffed animals. Grammy and Grandpa Steve had the best basket of all though... A BUZZ basket! It had buzz pajamas, buzz action figures, buzz sippy cups, and buzz stickers all packed in a buzz bucket which was inside of a buzz bag! You two were thrilled. You've worn your buzz pajamas twice already and if I would have let you wear them to bed dirty you would have worn them three times!

You had fun doing the Easter egg hunts. Connor got right to work and picked up as many eggs as he could. Hunter was a bit slower. Connor slowed down once he realized there was candy in the eggs because he wanted to open the eggs and get the candy out as he was picking them up. Hunter filled his basket with eggs and then began putting the eggs back where he got them. A little girl followed him and every time he put an egg back she'd pick it up and sneak it back into his basket!

As spoiled as you are though, you are two really sweet boys. Tonight you proved it. Daddy made a hot dog. Connor was too afraid that he would get burned because he thought the hotdog was too hot, but Hunter was fisting them. Connor didn't get any hotdog. So.. Daddy made another hotdog. Same thing. Connor was too scared, Hunter fisted them, no hotdog for Connor. So... Daddy made a third hotdog and gave it only to Connor. This really upset Hunter so Daddy told Hunter to ask Connor if he would share.
Hunter- "Connow, shawe, please?"
Connor decided he would share and he took a bite and then he would give Hunter a bite. He shared until the entire hotdog was gone. So... Daddy made a fourth hotdog. He tried to just let you two share it but Connor said no. He wanted to be in control of the hotdog. When there was half a hotdog left Daddy wanted Hunter to practice sharing so he gave the hotdog to Hunter and told Connor to ask for some.
Connor- "Huntew, shawe, please?"
Hunter tried to take the plate from Daddy and Daddy was trying to get him to share. When Daddy finally let go he realized that Hunter was sharing. Hunter took the plate and held it in front of Connor so that Connor could eat as much as he wanted. You are two of the sweetest boys around. Never change!
I love you,
Mommy

No Letter- Just Cute Pictures from today!

This picture shows how big Kaylee is getting. Her shirt says Mommy's Drama Queen. Uncle Wade brought it back from North Bend. It could not be more accurate!

Kaylee likes to read books in bed with the boys.

Hunter is showing her the pictures

This picture was actually taken yesterday but look how cute that little butt is!
