Dear Kaylee,
You've been driving us crazy. When I say us, I mean all of us. Today felt like we were constantly asking you to stop, or telling you to get out of things. For example, you climbed on top of the table at least five times, you got into my stack of newspaper clippings and spread them all over the dining room floor, you turned off the dvd player while the boys were watching a movie, you sat on top of their coloring books multiple times while they were coloring evoking a huge outrage from the boys, you grabbed a box of dryer sheets off of the top of the dryer and pulled each sheet out of the box one by one in a matter of minutes, you snuck into Mommy's room a dozen times and brought me laundry or books that I would have to take back to the bedroom...literally, the list goes on and on. You're just so interested in everything this house has to offer. You no longer want to play with your toys, you only want to explore every corner of this house. At one point you got into the bathroom drawer and brought me six toothbrushes and a bottle of toothpaste. The thing is, I don't know how you're reaching half of the things that you are getting into. I know you push chairs and climb up, I've seen you pull yourself on to some pretty tall objects, and you can sneak around a corner faster than I can blink an eye. You are so cute though. The look you give me when you hand me a pile of toothbrushes or when I walk around the corner to see the dryer sheets all over the floor is priceless. It's hard to make you understand that you are being naughty when I can't look at you with a straight face. I love you so much and you are so stinkin' cute I just can't help but laugh. The boys are a little less lenient on you. They have a low tolerance for when you knock over the castle they just spent twenty minutes building out of blocks, but we just remind them that you're a baby and we are still teaching you. You're mad at us because we won't let you onto the t-ball field when the boys are playing. It's just one more thing that you've added to your list of "I can't wait fors."
The cutest thing you are doing lately is loving on your blanket. It's your bedtime blanket and you just love to snuggle in it. You do not like to share it though. We're working on you with that, but every time one of the boys tries to sit in the blanket with you, you get really upset. We'll keep showing you how to share. Eventually it won't be so hard.
You're getting your pictures taken tomorrow in your Easter dress and new shoes. You're going to be so excited to put on your new pretty outfit. I can't wait to give you your purse on Easter morning. You're already such a little girly girl. I don't know where you get it. I sure never was into pretty clothes and shoes. I still rarely do my hair and makeup. Hopefully, I can stay one step ahead of you so that I am able to make your hair look as cute as you want it.
I love you. I'm sorry if it feels like we're on your case all the time. Tomorrow we'll do something fun and messy. I'll even let you sit on the table!
XOXO
Mommy
