Haircuts and Sparkle Dust!

Hunter's Hair Before his Haircut!

Connor's Hair Before his Haircut!

Hunter enjoying a good read while he's on the way to get his HAIRCUT!

Connor- barely consoled by a sucker that Grammy had brought in case of emergency.

Hunter. He thought he was combing his hair. He was really applying Sparkle Dust all over himself!

Hunter..moments before the cut.

He's not thrilled!

Connor- wanted the paper off of his cone. He eventually achieved his goal and in the process got ice-cream all over his car seat!

Getting a haircut isn't so bad... we got M&Ms, suckers, a cone... oh yeah, and we look pretty dang cute!

Dear Connor and Hunter,

I’m sorry I haven’t had much time to write to you lately. I can’t believe it’s almost been a month! Mommy has been really busy with school and work since her surgery. I’ve been trying to get everything caught up. However, I’ve also had lots more energy to play with you and snuggle with you since my surgery so I’ve been spending lots of time doing that. It’s been so wonderful!
You both have new dance moves! When I say show me your moves Hunter runs across the room and then slides on his knees like Tom Cruise and Connor starts doing a fun little bounce move. You love to show me your moves and are constantly trying to come up with a new one to impress me.
You’re also learning new words like crazy! You both say, YES!, No, Not, poop, Elmo (although Hunter’s sounds more like momo), and a variety of other words that will get you what you consider your basic necessities like juice, candy, and more juice!
You still love it when Daddy chases you around the house and I constantly feel like I’m telling you three to knock it off before someone gets hurt. Daddy’s play a lot rougher than Mommies and sometimes it makes me nervous, but you two love every second of it!
You’re finally tired of sharing. You are very good at sharing but I’m starting to notice that you want a couple things of your own that you don’t have to share. I knew the day was coming, I just didn’t think so soon. Lately, you’ve been fighting over a Baby Einstein First Words book. Hunter is convinced that it is his and only his while Connor wants it even more because of it. I think I’ll buy another one tomorrow. You should have a few things that are your own. I keep talking myself out of buying it though because I know if I do you’ll just find a different toy that you don’t want to share!
We haven’t had haircuts since August and today was the big day! I took you to Monkey Dooz and Grammy came with me for support. It wasn’t easy. It took Grammy bribing you with M&Ms, suckers, and promises of ice-cream afterwards. I didn’t care what bribe we used I just really wanted two little boys to get their hair cut. You were miserable the entire time, but you sure look cute now! I had her cut your hair really short so we wouldn’t have to go back for awhile!
I’ve been having so much fun with you lately. I can’t believe it’s possible that every day I just love you more than the day before!

I love you and love you! Mommy
