Pumpkins!

Hunter- incredibly nervous to be on a tractor!

It didn't take Hunter long to find the perfect pumpkin...if only he could lift it.

He tried his hardest though!

Hunter noticed the merry-go-round before the tractor had stopped moving.

Hunter and Connor waiting for Daddy to buy the tickets.

Finally! They were on the horses. They must have been smiling on the inside!

Hunter wouldn't leave the barn, but he also didn't want to get to close!

Ben picked him up and took him closer, notice the hand in his mouth. Hunter always does that when he's scared.

I love this picture. Look at the two little heads barely showing over the hay!

Dear Hunter

We went to the pumpkin patch today! It was so much fun. You were adorable! We first had to get on a hay ride to go to the pumpkin patch and you did not want to get on that tractor! You started crying instantly. Daddy had to get on the tractor first, and you held onto him as tight as you could. You calmed down a little when you saw Connor get on the tractor, but you still sat on Dad’s lap the whole ride with a look of uncertainty on your face.
When we got to the pumpkin patch you wanted all the pumpkins. You kept trying to pick up all the big 20 lb ones. You would bend over and wrap your little arms around the whole pumpkin and grunt like there was no tomorrow! You helped Daddy look for the perfect pumpkin and we almost found one that you could carry, but they were really big pumpkins this year. Daddy ended up carrying the pumpkin for you.
On the tractor ride back you relaxed right at the very end and sat on the hay bale on your knees and just watched as we passed the other events. You were so adorable sitting there like that.
When we the tractor was stopping you noticed the merry-go-round. You were thrilled. You weren’t even on the ground yet and you went running up to it. The next five minutes were spent with the two of you saying,” Please, Please, Please” and pointing to the horses! I kept telling you, “Yes, but wait.”
Finally, Daddy made it back with a paid for pumpkin and 10 tickets. The Merry-go-round cost four tickets each so we gave you your tickets and you stood patient in line. When it was your turn you were so excited you ran right past the ticket guy and we had to chase you to get your tickets and pay the man.
Daddy went with you so he could hold the back of your overalls because I was afraid that the merry-go-round was going too fast for you to hold on the whole time. You loved every minute of that ride.
Then it was time to go on the hay bales. You climbed on one, but then you noticed the petting barn and went straight for it. I took you in there while Daddy and Connor climbed some more. You really loved the chicks, but you were enthralled by the llama. I asked you if you wanted to go see the llama closer and you said, “NNNNNOOOO!” That’s your new word. We spent 20 minutes in that barn looking at the four animals that were there, but every time I asked if you were ready to go you would say , “NNNNNOOOOO!”
Finally, we got you out of there and we went to the hay bale maze. That was my favorite part because I got to chase you through the maze and you giggled like crazy. Every now and then you would slow down so that I could catch you. I think you secretly like it when Mommy catches you.
On the way out we stopped at the store and Mommy bought some snacks for her and Daddy and a caramel, chocolate covered pretzel for you. You were eating it in the car and you had it all over your face! I really wanted a picture, but the camera was already in the trunk.
It was a very fun day for us. Daddy and I always use to go before you were born but we both agree that this was the best year yet! I can’t wait to see what the years ahead will bring… probably bigger pumpkins!
I love you and love you!
Mommy
