Connor knew his own strength and rarely tried to pick up the pumpkins. He just showed us which ones he wanted us to pick up.

On the way back with our pumpkin...
That is all the higher Hunter climbed, but Connor was just beginning...

Dear Connor,
We went to the pumpkin patch tonight. You had so much fun! You were thrilled on the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch. You wanted to run around and investigate every little corner of the tractor while it was moving! Scared me silly, but I eventually talked you into sitting still on my lap.
When we got out to the pumpkin patch you weren’t too sure about it. You were having trouble walking without tripping on the vines. Then you find a few rotten pumpkins though and you were pretty interested in looking at the insides of those pumpkins. Finally, you found some that were worthy of trying to pick up and you would make the cutest little grunting sound while you were trying with all your might to lift the 20 lb. pumpkin. It was adorable!
When we got back to the store area with our pumpkins, Daddy was trying to pay and Hunter took off! He saw the merry-go-round and you decided to follow him. The next five minutes were spent with the two of you saying,” Please, Please, Please” and pointing to the horses! I kept telling you, “Yes, but wait.”
Finally, Daddy made it back with a paid for pumpkin and 10 tickets. The Merry-go-round cost four tickets each so we gave you your tickets and you stood patient in line. When it was your turn you were so excited you ran right past the ticket guy and we had to chase you to get your tickets and pay the man.
Daddy went with you so he could hold the back of your overalls because I was afraid that the merry-go-round was going too fast for you to hold on the whole time. You loved every minute of that ride.
Then it was time to go climb the hay bales. You were climbing pretty high and I was scared at one point that you were going to fall off, but Daddy scaled the hay like it was nothing and helped you catch your balance. Daddy helped you get all the way to the top and you were thrilled!
They also had a petty barn. You liked the llama and the chicks the best. You really wanted to pet the llama, but he would have nothing to do with you. He kept trying to hide around a pole from you.
The best part for me was when Daddy took pictures for awhile and I got to chase you through the hay bale maze. You were laughing so hard! You were being pretty smart too. I would go one way and you went the total opposite way. At one point you were really tired and you wanted me to pick you up. Since I can’t pick you up I was just walking slowly through the hay bales with you. Suddenly, this older girl came up behind you. At first you were scared and you started running. She was trying to get by you, but you were trying to run away from her. It was a vicious cycle, but everyone thought you were so cute.
Finally, we made our way to the store and we were surrounded by yummy chocolates. Mommy picked out truffles and a caramel apple for Daddy and I. I bought a caramel, chocolate covered pretzel for you. You LOVED every bite of it. Your whole little face was covered in chocolate. Unfortunately, we were eating in the car and the camera was in the diaper bag in the trunk so we didn’t get any cute pictures of pretzel eating.
It was a really fun time! Daddy and I use to go to the pumpkin patch before you were born, but we both agree that this was the best year yet!
I love you and love you,
Mommy
