Hunter and I reading a nativity story on Christmas morning.
I went back to work today. I had over three weeks off thanks to Christmas Vacation falling right after my week of bedrest. It was sooo hard to go to work today. Ben took the boys to their Grandmas today and as they left the house they were screaming so loud and holding their arms out to me. It was all I could do not to say, "Ok, I'll stay home forever." So tonight I need to remind myself that even though some moments of parenting are tough I've learned a lot and I'm getting pretty good at it!
Things I've learned being a Mommy
1. It doesn't matter if it's the same sippy cup with the same juice- the one brother has is better.
2. It's easier and more effective to put the toys in time out rather than the boys.
3. There is always something to worry about when you have kids.
4. There is no better feeling in the world than having your kids snuggle with you.
5. Bath time is more fun if you have soap crayons.
6. Electronic Dinosaurs are much more fun when they are behind a glass cage.
7. If you hide some of the toys for a week when you bring them back out... They are BRAND NEW!
8. If your kids go a day or two without eating...go grocery shopping, because when they start eating again they will eat you out of house and home!
9. Little boys want to be like their Daddy's from a VERY young age... Which means you have to watch Daddy too, because when Daddy's start playing they turn into little boys again! =0)
10. My kids will not break. They may run into walls, fall down, bonk their heads, or jump off their bed, but they will get back up and they are usually laughing.
11. When it's quiet, they are up to something!
12. The AAP knows a lot, but I'm not sure if anyone on staff has actually had a child. For example, children under two should not watch any television. WHAT? When would I shower or cook dinner? That's what Elmo is for. You can't tell me that Elmo's Alphabet Adventure is not eduational! =0)
13. If one little boy gets sick they are both sick you just don't know it yet! There is no way to prevent it or stop it from happening. You just have to hold on and know that your in for 2-3 weeks of sick kids!
14. Little boys love their Grandmas. Sometimes I feel like they love Grandma more than Mommy. However, when Grandma leaves I become the favorite again!
15. My Mom was right about everything! Why didn't I listen?
Me and my boys....
whaaaatttt???????? Am I hearing things? I'm a little dumbfounded right now! did I actually read that I was right about everything???? And it only took how long for one of my kids to admit it...........should I celebrate or cry...
