Tonight I gave you your first bath. You hated every second of it. Just like your brothers did. This time I was a little more experienced though and I knew what to expect before I started which helped things go faster. However, I also knew what pictures I wanted to get of you taking your bath which slowed things down significantly. You cried from the minute your diaper came off until the bottle was in your mouth. You still have the cute cry though. I could probably listen to it all day long if it didn't break my heart. You've been sleeping so good and eating even better. You are such an easy baby. God is truly amazing, because I can't look at you without thinking about how wonderful his miracles are.
I love you so much!
Look at the setup it takes to give one little girl a bath! You need your baby tub, a tub of warm water so the running water doesn't scare you, J&J's Lavander baby wash (it has to be Lavander because it smells oh so good and it helps you sleep, the hooded towel, and of course...the camera!
This was taken right after Mommy finished all the scrubbing. You look so big in pictures, but you are so small in real life! You looked so little when I was bathing you that I was a little nervous!
The hooded towel. Really... they are useless. They are always too big and I have to dry you and dress you so quickly that you don't get to enjoy being wrapped in it. However, they are so stinkin' cute! Even if I can only put you in it for a second... I still love it!
You're finally dressed, but you are still very angry!
Finally you are calm! Look at the cute bib that Aunt Leanne sent you. The bib is just as big as you are!
Finally resting! You are very content right here!
I just wanted to show you how cute your pj's are! They have little shoes drawn on them! Adorable...
Cute new blog look, cute pictures, cute baby! :)
ReplyDeleteOne thing our babies loved at bathtime was a warm towel: we'd microwave it for 30 seconds to a minute right before we wrapped them in it. It relaxed them so much and made it extra cozy to snuggle them quiet after bathtime. We did the same thing with their blankies. We'd warm one up, lay it down on their bassinet, them put them on top of it. It took away the cold sheet shock of going from a warm body to a cold bed!
(It would be just as nice for Ben to warm your towel this way for you if you get a moment to take a long bath or shower!)
So glad we can share in all these little things through your blog!!
Smooches to all 3!!
