Dear Kaylee,
It has been quite the week around the Allen house! We've been having all sorts of fun trying to make time pass quicker until you join the family.
We had dinner at Applebees. It was the first time Connor and Hunter attempted to eat mozzerella cheese sticks. They had little success, however Connor really enjoyed pulling the cheese out of the deep fried covering.
Daddy stayed home most of the week to help Mommy and to prepare for your arrival. He also wanted to spend some quality time with your brothers before our hospital trip. While Daddy was home, it was the first time that Connor and Hunter played so hard that Daddy was absolutely exhausted and the boys fell asleep in less than two minutes after lights out.
Another first- Mommy went to the mall to buy some last minute supplies for you. It was the first time I have EVER purchased anything at Gymboree for one of my own children. Gymboree is not in our family budget. However, they were the only store that had a preemie size coming home outfit that I couldn't resist. I stood in the store for a good half hour trying to decide if I was really going to spend $20 on one pair of pajamas and another $15 on the world's smallest, yet cutest onesie. I almost changed my mind as I handed my debit card to the cashier, but temptation won. That is why I don't even walk into that store. It was a first and probably a last.
A HUGE first for our family... we did something I swore I would never do... we went to Chuck E Cheese! Oh how Mommy dreaded the day she would go there, but for some reason this morning I just wanted to do something fun that would really wear your brothers out allowing Daddy and I to take a nap when we got home. Chuck E Cheese was so fun! We were the only ones there since it was eleven on a Tuesday morning. Our plan did not work though. We had a GREAT time, but nobody got to take a nap today.
My favorite first will be in less than 12 hours. The first time I lay eyes on you and get to hold you. Mommy can hardly wait. In fact, I don't think she'll get much sleep tonight either. I love you so much and can't wait until tomorrow!
Love,
Mommy
