Dear Connor,
You’ve been so funny lately! You are really into Buzz Lightyear. It is making potty training go really smooth because you want to wear your Buzz all the time. We bought you some Buzz shoes this week. Grammy bought the left shoe and I bought the right! You love them. In fact, the other day when I was trying to get you dressed you refused to wear a shirt or pants. You only wanted to wear your Buzz underpants and your shoes. You were quite the sight.
Potty training has been interesting. Every time you go potty we have to let you pick out a new pair of underwear. You love putting on a new pair. You picked out a pack of Cars underwear at the store, but now you’ll only wear Buzz. The other night we were all out of clean Buzz underwear. Daddy had to convince you that Buzz was driving one of Cars so that you would put your underwear on.
You also like to dump your own potty into the big toilet. This is scary. You pick up the bowl and swing it around so fast that your Daddy and I are constantly jumping out of the way so we don’t get his with flying potty. If we don’t let you dump it and flush you throw a massive fit though so it’s just easier to try and dodge it.
You’re expressing your wants and needs very loudly lately. You always say “No, Please” when you don’t want to do something. We hear that phrase a lot these days!
You still want me to lie in bed with you at nap time. You tell me to “nuggle” which is Connor speak for snuggle with me until I fall asleep.
The funniest thing you’ve been doing lately is playing with your gorilla that Grandpa Youngs and Grandma Shannon bought you for Christmas. You tell the Gorilla that he’s been bad, you walk him over to the time out corner, read him the rules, and then you set him in time out with the timer. You leave him there for hours at a time. You did play with him the other day though. You kept pushing his button and letting him walk all over the house.
You carry Spike’s bone around with you everywhere. You’ll tell us that it’s “ike’s One”. When we ask you if you want to wake Spike up to give him his bone you scream, “NO, PLEASE!”
I love you! I’m very proud of you lately; you’re becoming such a big boy so fast!
Mommy
