I'm waiting for you to wake up and eat one more time before I lay down for the night. If I fall asleep now it will be just enough time to get good and comfy before I hear you start grunting. Yes. You grunt. You rarely cry. You start out grunting softly while you're trying to wake up. The grunts slowly get louder and louder. We have about ten minutes from the first grunt to get your bottle warmed up and in your mouth before you start crying.
You've been smiling more and more. You really make us work for it though. Sometimes I feel like you are smiling at us and not with us! I imagine I look pretty silly cooing and grinning and being goofy to get you to smile. It's worth it though. Even if you do think your mom is weird!
Today you thought the alligator was funny. It's a plastic alligator that hangs off of your floor gym. It has a ball in the belly that has little beads in it so when you spin the ball the beads fly around. I was spinning it and spinning it and you kept smiling so big!
Your brothers bring you binkies like crazy! I don't know how they find them since your daddy and I can never seem to locate them.
Yesterday I was helping Connor put on a Buzz (underwear), and you started crying. You wanted picked up. You were tired of sitting in your chair. I was trying to get Connor to hurry, but he kept picking out a different Buzz he wanted and it only makes it worse to force him to wear a pair he didn't pick. Hunter kept looking at me. He wanted me to go pick you up. Finally, he took matters into his own hands. He grabbed his sippy cup of chocolate milk, ran over to you, and stuck it in your mouth. You started sucking on it like crazy! I had to literally drop Connor and run over to grab the sippy cup before you drank enough to hurt your tummy. Your little belly isn't ready for the good stuff yet! We thanked Hunter for his kindness and help and then asked him not to do it again!
I love you baby girl! We find out how much you weigh again on Monday. You have your two month old check up. I can't believe it has been two months already!
Love you and love you,
Mommy
I love this picture. Your bow fell over your eyes and it reminds me of those sleep masks. I had to get a picture before I fixed it.
I hate to say it, but like your mother I think your whole life you will be told you have big eyes. Sometimes people will tell you as a compliment, sometimes they'll just tell you in a statement. I think your eyes are beautiful.
Tummy Time. How you hate it! I had to start putting a boppy under you because when I put you flat on the floor you roll over. The first time you rolled over you were five weeks old. At first I thought it was an accident, but then every Tummy Time you would do it again. I'm not surprised. All my kids hate Tummy Time. Hunter would lay with his face planted in the floor in defeat. Connor would scream his loudest until I gave in and rolled him over. Don't tell Dr.Steele, but I don't make you guys do it that much!
How cute are you?
