Mommy went to a bridal shower last night. It was really fun. I laughed so much my cheeks hurt. When I got home it was after nine. I should have come home to two little boys sound asleep in their bed. Instead I found this:
It turns out that Daddy had rented a movie for me to watch with him when I got home. He rented Where the Wild Things Are. You wanted to watch it so bad you just kept saying, "mooovie?" I think it is important to tell you that whenever you ask a question your voice influctuates to a level of cuteness that is really hard to say no to. Daddy said yes. You all fell asleep to the movie. After taking pictures I tried to move Connor into the bedroom. He woke up right away. His eyes weren't even fully adjusted to the light and he started putting his pouty lip out. Daddy brought Hunter in and Hunter started crying immediately. I was trying to feed baby Kaylee and I could hear you both shouting "MOMMY..." I went back there and asked if you wanted me to sleep with you. You said yes so Daddy and I switched spots. Then you cried because Daddy left. Then Connor started pointing to the door and saying "book". I decided to take him to the living room to find the exact book he wanted. At this point you're both crying so hard that I'm trying to just do what it takes to get you to go to sleep. As Connor and I walked to the living room Hunter continued to cry very loudly. I invited him to come with us but he wouldn't. It made more sense to him to sit on the bed and sob. Finally, Connor found the exact book that he wanted and his sippy cup. He handed it to me and said, "Juice?"
"Yes I will get you some juice." I answered.
"I SAID YES!!!" At this point I'm begining to shout. I'm trying to remember our house rules. Rule number 2 Use a Nice Voice. Oh that is a hard rule sometimes.
I get the juice, I get you both in bed, and I finally get you to stop crying when what do I hear....
I love you. I'm tired, but I sure do love you!
Mommy
