Dear Hunter,
You have been so fun lately. Everyday you change and grow so much! You’re still scared of everything, but that’s ok because I love to snuggle with you! We took you to the zoo over Memorial Day weekend. We let you feed the giraffe. You thought the giraffe was so neat until he walked over to you to eat his carrot. You freaked out. You did not want that animal so close to you. That’s pretty much how the whole zoo went- you liked the animals from a distance, but don’t let them get to close! You still had fun though. They had a worm farm, which was basically big plastic worms that you could crawl around and on to burn some energy. The worm farm had an old fashioned tractor there for you to climb on and you thought it was the coolest thing. You sat so tall and just giggled the whole time it was your turn to play with the steering wheel. The next day we took you to the aquarium. You loved it. You were fascinated by all the colorful fish and you really liked the puffer fish. You did not want to touch the starfish though.
We’ve been spending a lot of time outside since the weather has been so nice. We bought you a swimming pool, but it was too deep and the water wouldn’t warm up fast enough for you to enjoy it. You cried because it was too cold, but you wanted to go in. So we bought you a really tiny pool and that one warms up in just a few hours. You loved it. You just sat in the middle of it and splashed and giggled.
Daddy and I took you guys to Toys R Us to buy some developmentally appropriate toys. We bought you foam swords, giant lego blocks, balls, Little People Noah’s Arc, crayons, sidewalk chalk, talking/singing magnets and puzzles. You really like throwing the balls to us. You throw it to us and then you get so excited you start screaming and clapping. Daddy was pretending that you were a football playing and he was hiking it to you- you were having such a good time playing that game with him. Then you got so excited that you knew how to throw things you started throwing all your toys. Now the rule is you can only throw balls, so whenever you throw a toy I remind you that we only throw balls and I hand you a ball. I think you’re learning really quickly.
You have been hugging everyone lately. Connor enjoys his hugs from you these days. The other day we put Connor on top of you and told him to give you a hug and you wrapped your arms and legs around him so he couldn’t get up! He hasn’t tried to give you a hug again yet. He just likes quick hugs!
I love you and love you buddy- Mommy
